Afternoon Drama: Three Pieces in the Shape of a Pear

A new drama written by and starring Alister McGowan about his musical hero, the visionary and eccentric French composer Erik Satie, and the three key figures in his life
On Radio 4 as of now.

Did anyone listen to AG's The Unsent Letters of Erik Satie last Saturday - also on R4?

No, but just listened to Three Pieces.....
A lovely, witty, rueful and most enjoyable 45mins. The atmosphere of that early 20thC artistic community was so well captured...a must.

Wonderful, wasn't it? the Saturday programme is equally well worth the listen, at 30 mins:

Alistair McGowan tells the story of the love letters that composer Erik Satie never sent.
