    The "Twenty Minutes" slot

this is probably old hat, but I've just noticed that several of the "20 minutes" programmes seem to be available beyond the 7-day listen-again deadline

which I thought was worth browsing

......and all those Anglo-Saxon Portraits seem to be conveniently gathered together

A series which rediscovers the Anglo-Saxons through vivid portraits of individuals.

Are you suggesting Radio 3 could resurrect them as interval talks? Or that those who object to the musical intervals could listen to them instead? Or as just a point of interest? I presume there are no rights issues (or not the same ones) if they are available semi permanently(?)
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I wouldn't know. Do you think there might be [rights issues] ?
Listening to them instead of the interval music - brilliant idea.

No, I know nothing. I just thought the 7-day rule was to do with rights agreements of some sort.

Fascinating and entertaining programme this evening in the First Night interval, about Chorus Masters

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b036v857 (Ignore the stupid photo )

... including a couple more good "offstage performers" anecdotes to add to some of those on another thread...

EDIT - just realised they've cut that badly - you get the end of the Rachmaninov and the Luto Variations before the interval prog starts around the 27 minute point in that link...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
