I referred briefly to the Proms Poetry Competition on another thread but details are here too in case anyone who is interested missed them. Although I didn't mention it at the time, I entered the competition last year and can therefore confirm that the procedure is straightforward.
There are two age categories, ages 12-18 and 19 plus, so you might like to consider too whether any younger members of your family would like to hear about the competition and send them the link.
The winners will get the chance to have their poems read out at a Proms Plus event on 7 September and then broadcast on BBC Radio 3. They will also be invited to attend that night's Prom concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
