Bach and the Art of Bee-Keeping

    R3: Sunday 29 Jan, 7.45pm:
Bach and the Art of Bee-Keeping
Arvo Pärt and JS Bach appear to write very different music, but both have the same notion of universal order. Singer Kathryn Knight uncovers the common denominators and extramusical connections, from the Art of Fugue via quantum mechanics and the honeycomb to the technique of tintinnabulation.

    Might be worth listening?

To have a little pre-taste I would recommend to listen to these two very defferent works: Pärt's Collage on BACH (1964) as well as his Als Bach Bienen züchtete (As Bach kept bees, 1983).

I think it might be an interesting programme.
