Yes, I remember that, but presumably he could have been staying at a nearby hotel - she didn't mention anything about going abroad. Did the agent who turned up at Ionesco's place explain how he found out that Cooper was there? I don't recall that.

Anyway, although it has generated a lot of discussion, it remains for me a baffling and unsatisfactory play. I'd generally rather have plays that aren't about real people, if you see what I mean.
