    Jeremy Hardy RIP

    .

He was a popular stand-up and a regular on shows like The News Quiz and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.

Oh this is horrible, horrible news - terribly sad; I shall greatly miss his work on radio, which was such a joy - and not only the sharp political jabs, but the dulcet contributions to "One Song to the Tune of Another" on ISIHaC!

    RIP, and thanks, JH

Oh, yes - the rants! Masterpieces of improvisation. Such a terrible loss - and when we have such need for his talents.

The World is a much poorer place without him. So sad to read of his passing.

This news sent a horrible sort of shiver down my spine.

The kind that makes it difficult to comment coherently.

And what is it about comic writers and comedians?

Perhaps it is not a world for them now.

Really sad to hear this. He had such a lively imagination and presentation, humorously advocating decency and common sense. What a great loss to us all

He reminded us that humour didn't have to offend to be funny.

Terrible news. His appearances in the News Quiz were always a highlight of one’s listening. Irreplaceable in many ways.

I hope the BBC will put on a programme to commemorate Jeremy - as they did in the case of Linda Smith.
