So I'm a blasé radio listener, and an easily turned off by the fashionaable motivational tone to many speakers.
So I tune into Joanna Robertson on the Essay about Shopping in Tirana Albania, and am blown away, embarrassed as I am to admit it.
Gah! the diction is so excellent and the smooth unaffected commentary ... the green beast rises. At once i'm happy and irritated that she exceeds the quality mark.
Unaffected? Well of course that's not true. It's patronising, of course. If I was Albanian, Rita Ora, may be (I'm not her actually :-)), then, yes, I'd feel patronised.
But then again it's a wide listenership and I was immediately browsing Google Maps to check out the places Joanna mentioned.
Anyhow, enough of the "love-in" .. a five star programme!
