    Betty Davies

Betty Davies, the long-serving and highly-esteemed producer of radio drama between the end of the war and into the seventies, is 99 today. Many Happy Returns.

I cannot find any quick way of letting the BBC know - unless I tweet or twitter. I am not of a mind to do either so I shall write to them in order that they may begin planning for the celebration of her centenary and her work.

The trouble with being 99 is that people do forget what you did when you were 33 or even 66. But there are still a few traces of the drama productions if you instruct google to -Bette.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
