I don't quite understand your argument, bb. If the trail gives no clue about any of the programmes it still means people have to go searching - not for something they've heard about and want to listen to - but looking to see if there is something they want to listen to. They either tune in randomly to Radio 3 (where they could get CotW or Breakfast) or they have to look through the whole schedule to see if they're interested in anything.

If it's the video that's online, it lasts 21 seconds and doesn't say a lot more than 'Listen to Radio 3: we're doing programmes about the music and culture of the snowy northern wastes' (picture of snowy mountains).
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I don't quite understand kleines c's argument either, french frank. I shall ask him later ...

I'm really enjoying the Danish String Quartet's lunchtime performances. Cracking style - lively, exciting and exacting (to my humble ears).

          Pacta sunt servanda !!!
