I have long enjoyed the film with Peter O'Toole on great form, Harry Andrews as the auto-eroticising elder, Alastair Sim as the family bishop ('ignominious death??!!" and Arthur Lowe as the increasingly belligerent bequested butler who at one point, unable to get the rowing family's attention, returns with an enormous antique vase and drops it on to the floor where it smashes into a thousand pieces!
