    Marco Polo

Netflix has made their own TV Series, currently filming it's second season, called Marco Polo. Is this available in the U.K.? Any one watching it?
Per the norm in the States, most of Actors have British accents, as your patois is the Mass Market standard for any foreign (i.e., non American) culture. As appears to be the norm now in Television there is a fair amount of nudity and graphic violence.
I hadn't read anything about Marco Polo since grade school and I am wondering just how many liberties have been taken here. The Critics have been pummeling it here, and there are some laughably absurd moments, but in general the production standards are high (Netflix apparently has spent $90 million on this) and it's enjoyable.
Netflix and Amazon are both trying to create content that they will stream to subscribers and bring down the Cable and Satellite TV Monopolies. You Tube is now actively exploring ways to create their own content. My wife and I just dumped Cable TV and the 1000 channels that we never watch and are saving $130/month. A Netflix app costs $10/month and can be accesed from multiple devices besides a Cable Box. There are 5 million Cable Cord cutters here according to articles that I read when researching dumping Cable. I wish them all luck.

Given that the earliest account dates back to the 13th c., it sound as if quite a few liberties have been taken!
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
