Sadly, I fear that there are a number of eejits out there in the country who will think this is a great idea and that it's about time they brought this back. Personally, I still recall the Primary School delights of multiplying the likes of 4 st. 11 lb. 13 oz. by 14 - try doing that on a calculator Mr Prime Minister. Great cartoon, by the way, AuntDaisy.

I say 'non-imperial nations' rather than EC because this method of reporting derives from a world-wide standard with an associated test method to generate the figures (in either system).
