    is this such a big deal? “Restoring old films”

    This article is interesting - https://www.wired.co.uk/article/hist...on-controversy though I feel that journalists have yet again tried to make something big out of something not that important..

      Thanks for posting the clip. What on earth is there for academics to argue about since the process leaves the source material unaltered.

        Like getting outraged because Beethoven is being played on a modern concert grand.
        It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
