So, potentially it could be Day Passes to allow us to be released into the world.
Great plan, or potentially another step on the road towards authoritarian control ?

One critical factor is how the data is dealt with I suppose, and how the possibility of any systems being further developed in damaging ways.

Both very welcome departures. Both leaving misery in their wake.

Only one has actually departed. The other still has time for mischief before leaving.

Theoretically, though I think his fangs have been pulled, given the uneasy Tory ranks which have now become more vocal.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

He may not be as clever as he thinks he is, but the bar appears to be set so low among the current rulers that that is no impediment to causing mischief without anyone noticing.

well I guess that means the Tory party can get back to its roots and make sure that resources move to the south - why waste money up north as there are no longer going to be votes there after this year - also make sure the city is supported when Europe decides it can provide its own finance centres.

Whoooosh! He's gone! Seen carrying a cardboard box out of No 10 without a backward look.

and the evil that he has done will live after him - maybe BJ should consider his position as I think the analogy with Trump is mistaken except in the way that decisions have been taken without any real consideration - too much sleaze is coming to light and no doubt more will once DC can turn the press leak machine back on.

Obviously Cummings has already done untold damage but it’s great he’s gone. Truly great. I’ve been laughing solid for an hour. Possibly with the help of a glass of red. Johnson will now have the option of reverse ferreting on Brexit if he can fend off the headbangers, because if he doesn’t the country truly is done, goodbye.

Is road traffic going to increase, as people will perhaps be unwilling to use public transport?

And as a consequence of everybody wearing face masks when out in public from now on, there will be no flu epidemic this winter.

If only it was everybody. On a local bus trip I took two days ago, only the driver and I were wearing face coverings. the five other passengers (4 women and a baby) were unprotected and unprotecting. Three of the women were also conversing loudly. The driver has no particular authority in these situations and I doubt very much that the CCTV coverage will be made available to the authorities, either.

                              This would suggest so. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...cades-says-rac

And so, as the “ Freedom Pass” idea is floated in more detail, we draw ever closer to my line in the sand.

It is so dangerous and concerning. What kind of country will we allow to be created for our young people ? Opposition must not be left in the hands of those with the most outlandish views.
Those with power and influence in all parts of the political spectrum and in the media need to speak out, and as soon as possible.
