There seems to be some advantage in having had symptoms, but perhaps Sweden, the US and Brazil are going to provide that larger sample for further study. But it's frustrating to have to observe the results of 'what happens if' when no one knows how severe they will be. Most seem to agree that the the virus is going to be around for a long time which does put Covid-19 in a separate category from the previous SARS and MERS outbreaks.

If it wasn't such a tragedy it would be funny
R4 just now tory MP saying people that they will face the consequences if they carry on travelling to the beach and to the countryside

Erm ..... two words .... the second starts with the letter C

and Cressida Dick (who was responsible for the murder of an innocent man on the tube and ensured those responsible weren't prosecuted while she gained promotion) telling people that they need to stick to the "law"

Going to a crowded beach is a bad idea, not least because you are likely to end up in the dermatology clinic
but do these people not realise what two-faced hypocrites they are?

Whenever Cressida Dick appears on my TV, the name 'Menezes' comes to mind as I hit the Mute button.

          Absolutely

How can people have any respect for the vast majority of police and others in authority who are honest and have integrity when some are allowed to get away with murder ?

Ms Dick was on the local lunchtime BBC TV news condemning two officers who took "inappropriate" photos of two women murder victims in a N London park, saying how awful this must feel to the families and friends, and that her heart goes out to them.

No details were given, so one is left to shudder at what "inappropriate" could mean in the circumstances.

It's a shame her "heart" doesn't go out to the family of the man murdered by her officers when she was in charge.

                Fair's fair:

"“The events of that day stay with one; I think about it quite often,” she said. “It was a traumatic period. It was an awful time for so many people, obviously and most of all Jean Charles’s family, the people who were there when it happened, the firearms officers, the surveillance officers,” said Dick, the first woman to be appointed as commissioner of the Metropolitan police.

She added: “I was very conscious it was a hundred million times worse for other people than it was for me, but I was very high profile, quite rightly held to account.”

When people who are in positions of power behave like this why should any of us trust them, do what they advise, do what the tell us?

If David Attenborough went on the radio to advise people not to go to the beach .............

I was just responding to your assertion that her heart didn't go out to the family of the dead man. You are free to believe it didn't, even though she says it did.

I won't say I love it but: "You say this is a Democracy! It isn't: It's a REPUBLIC". But I'm afraid that's their problem over there. We have our own.

They should all get a tattoo saying they don't want oxygen or intubation if they catch Covid-19. Gods will. Right!
