Had you investigated the program you would have discovered the extent to which it was written with due consderation to looking after the safety of the users' computers. By the way, I forgot to mention, the program also defaults to running only when the computer is otherwise idle, though one can switch to it continuing to run while the computer is being used for other tasks.
Why have I got an iMac then, I hear you and Dave asking.

However - https://www.windowscentral.com/foldi...-supercomputer
I don't know whether the Linux version would run faster and thus give more bangs per buck. It might.

Some machines can run more than one OS - so for anyone concerned about this, it might be useful to know which is more effective. However, at the current time, just getting something done is maybe more important.

So this headline (today's Guardian)
Coronavirus UK live: No 10 claims Covid-19 crisis strengthens need for UK to be free of EU regulation after 2020
What this demonstrates is exactly the opposite
we NEED to collaborate to combat threats like Covid-19
But it's nice to see all the Brexiteers flocking to the Fens to pick vegetables.....

Out would go anyone with any semblance of self-respect and decency. In would come a cabinet shaped in his own image. A cabinet of shits, charlatans and shysters. One in which having been previously sacked for lying was almost a precondition.

One of the supreme ironies is that the virus crisis is obscuring the fact that this - IMO oop 'ere at any road - has been one of the very finest Springs I can remember for years.
Oh Yes, I'm having to water plants etc every night and sometimes mornings, but....but.....
Ah me!
But the other one is European workers coming to OUR aid. Oh, Brexit, Brexit, where art thou now!!!
A hell of a lot of remainers may well with some justification, be wearily saying 'ahem...........I told you so...'

I know that Germany's population is larger than the UK's but even so I was struck by the difference in seasonal worker requirements between the UK and Germany. This article, https://www.theguardian.com/world/co...rs-coronavirus (which does not make for pleasant reading) quotes 300,000 whereas figures quoted for the UK vary between 70,000 and 90,000.
