I would write 'Return to sender' on the front of the envelope but for the fact that I think the poor posties have got more than enough on their plate. Apparently the government rejected the suggestion that the Post Office should stop distributing junk mail for now and concentrate on more important deliveries.

If there had been a ban on junk mail I suppose there is a risk that the PM's propaganda wouldn't be delivered either...

Michael Gove reportedly said, on today's Andrew Marr Show, that they had reached 10,000 tests yesterday.

Why do these b*ggers keep lying to us?

Chris Whitty (NHS)keeps making an appearance on TV adverts, seeming rather like a robot. Nothing wrong with what he says, but sometimes mindless repetition can be counterproductive.

Sounds like the right man in this current mad world. Ability to suppress any intelligent thought*, and avoid saying anything of import, are prerequisites for such a job and qualities highly prized by the current administration it would seem.

They don't want to trouble one of their media chums to do an advert for them(Corvid19 is so contagious darling and would wreck your CV) and the one person in the Public Information Office is self isolating and hasn't been given a laptop to WFH.

But the thing is just exactly what are we testing for ? I used to be of the same view until I heard a medic saying that for the test to be of any use the person has to have a certain level of virus present in their bodies. So it seems pointless testing anyone who is not exhibiting any symptoms.

Can't we have some constructive posts in this thread other than diving into the continuous snide digs ? I'm not saying that the Govt are perfect...far from it...but this thread is rapidly sinking into the usual 'bash 'em'.

It works both ways, Bryn. If you bothered to check, you'd see that I only ever commented in response to someone else's snide digs.
