Apparently the PM has tested positive for covid19 and is going to self-isolate.
There are many comments I could make about that but I don't think I need to ...We all on here have minds and can use them.

Presumably similar to the comments you would have made to Angela Merkel and Justin Trudeau, the other world leaders whose are self-isolating.

Angela Rayner is also self-isolating with symptoms. Not really surprising as Westminster is a hot spot for Covid19, and several MPs have been slow to follow the social distancing guidelines.

The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

How about: "I'm sorry to hear that and I hope he gets well soon". That's my comment.

Seconded, but it still doesn’t alter the fact that in the past he has been a bit economical with the truth. I don’t wish the virus on anyone.

That would certainly be my initial response were it somebody whom I respected. Nevertheless, I hope he gets well and learns to be straight with us, i.e. truthful, while he does so.

I would not wish a poor outcome on anyone, and I do think it could be a useful prod, to those who think otherwise, that the virus doesn't discriminate and no-one is invincible.
It's probably just as well that Westminster has broken up for the hols, it'll give some time for any other incubators to emerge and get over it. Wonder if some test kits will be found and used before they convene again.

Did anybody else see the Italian chap interviewed on BBC News last night who pointed out that we'd wasted 2 precious weeks by not learning from his country's experience?

                                No apologies for the politics
BUT this is the kind of health service that many in the Tory (and the Brexit folks) want here
There is no point standing in the road clapping if you then allow this to happen in the UK

and (see upthread) those of us who have votes that don't have any value are unable to do anything about it

                                and

So maybe the sooner the people responsible for this are confined at home with the virus the better for the rest of us?
