Have to say that I'd prefer the Pfizer jab given the chance.

Right now there's no sign of any of them being on offer round here yet.

A switch to AZ seems to have taken place round here. I got AZ at our normal local surgery yesterday afternoon after a phone call the day before. I'm 71 so presumably among the last of this cohort. It was the first day of this new arrangement and it went very smoothly with one way system. No waiting and less than 10 minutes in and out. Receptionist pointed out I had taught her 30 years ago.
Our neighbour had Pfizer on Saturday and had to go to a Health Centre ten miles away in Malmesbury. He said he had a very swollen arm. I've had no real side effects - perhaps slight drowsiness. Our son's partner is a hospital doctor and had Pfizer a few weeks ago. Given a choice she said she would have gone for AZ. If asked I wouldn't have known which to choose.
My wife's cousin in Germany is 80. She wasn't contacted and had to book online with no appointment till March. NHS does seem to have this well in hand

A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

I'm booked in! A mate gave me the URL and said that if my letter was in the post then I'd be able to book. First tie I tried, got all the way through but it failed at the time slot selection and offered me a place 100 miles and 2 hours each way. I'll pass. Then happened to select an old tab with some of the details, it had refreshed itself as I selected it and bingo....both booked. So now need to get unblinded from my trial.Fewer Smart things. More smart people.
