I think it's possible, but very unlikely. I believe you were given a card with the details of the jab you had, and this should have been recorded against your medical records. The protocol which is being adopted should match the vaccine you had for jab 1 with that for jab 2. Of course the protocols could change - or there could be errors - but there shouldn't be a change assuming that everything goes to plan. In fairness, the chances of errors should be very low.
The government response was that it was 'highly unlikely' but the two possibilities were that there was no record of which one you'd had the first time ("couldn't happen", I was told and I was given my mRNA card as everyone else I know has been; and it was independently recorded by them). The other possibility mentioned was that there was none of the original available, but that was dismissed as a possibility too, so I don't know why the government was trying to cover its back. Caution born of ignorance, I dare say.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
"Ursula, let's set this up. We need x million 2nd doses of Pfizer. You can have x million Astra Zenica. When that's done.....let's negotiate...send M. Barnier"
I had my first jab last week but wasn't given a card so don't know which I had. Suppose I need to find out!
Just as well to do that. I was told that they didn't have any AstraZeneca anyway when I went. Did you go to one of the big 'national hubs'?

I don't have first hand experience of the cards, but from what I read it was/is the protocol to give people cards with the vaccine details.
Maybe it's different in Scotland, which would be a slight matter of concern.
Yes, we already have a contract for 30million doses, with the option of ordering 22million more. I think another benefit is that it is a single jab.
"I do not approve of anything that tampers with natural ignorance. Ignorance is like a delicate exotic fruit; touch it and the bloom is gone. The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."

No, I had the district nurse come to my house. She gave me the general booklet but there's no info re the next one, the nurse didn't say, and I forgot to ask. . The 2nd one could be up to 12 weeks.

They said nothing at all to me about the second, and the card was left blank there. But talking to one of the practice doctors, I asked and she said it would be 12 weeks after and the practice would ring me. The only person I know who was able to 'book' the second jab was my brother who received a letter inviting him to book his dates (both) online. He chose a convenient one for his first and then only had a choice of dates 12 weeks later. I only know one person who has had the second jab, and he was into his 80s and got in just before they changed the 3 week delay to 12 weeks.

My partner’s mother, who is 94, was phoned by her GP last week and invited to book her second jab. That’s fine, she said, but I haven’t had the first one yet... Oh, said the GP, you’d better come in then, and we’ll give you your first one.

It is one of the world's most vaccine-hesitant nations. But this time around, officials have a plan to change people's views
Our French friends tell us it is very real...and can't understand why. Quite scary.
And won’t be helped by Macron’s extremely irresponsible statements today.
