It's the "I" word, isn't it! "Immigration" is the word that no-one (until recently) was prepared to mention. A few years ago the "N" word (I won't type it, but we all know it) became (quite rightly) an offensive, pejorative word. The problem with the "I" word is that it was the REAL reasoning behind the Brexit outcome, but no-one in the political establishment were prepared to grasp the nettle. Result: Brexit! Had the immigration problem been met head on at the time, the vote may well have gone the other way, politicians would not be reacting in the way they are now and the inflammatory attitude of some groups would not have been given the oxygen they crave to stoke up people's emotions.

'Priti Patel's record of abusive and undisciplined behaviour is as long as your arm ..... she should never have been allowed anywhere near a ministerial red box'
