I’m interested in writing about a world that has never suffered these people and is not overrun by identity politics. I’m not sure where the clock has to be stopped, but probably before 2000. Anyway, the sun is blazing and I have a massive hangover, so things can’t have stopped already. Oh, and the U.K. Civil Service official account tweeted yesterday "Arrogant and offensive. Can you imagine having to work with these truth twisters?“ after Bodger’s disastrous presser. Quality.

Cummings must know where all the skeletons are buried.

Anybody know much about it? Worth having a look at it, as I suspect that it , and similar philosophies, at some point inform the world view of people like Cummings.

There’s an irony that a piece about speeding things up should take so long to read ;)

<< Cummings must know where all the skeletons are buried. >>

For me, THAT is precisely at the heart of this 'debate'. Cummings knows too much and Johnson dare not evict him for fear of what happen next.

Easy solution: sack Cummings and then resign. Cummings can choose between life on his own father's (EU-subsidised) farm or his wife's father's castle, and Johnson can return to the Daily Telegraph (whose poll today show a third of their voters supporting Johnson's decision).

There was a story about hungry rats coming out of their holes aggressively looking for food now the restaurants are closed and there's less waste food around. They're probably clamouring against the lockdown too. Good metaphor.

He will probably be ceremonially sacked and then go further into the shadows. His relationship with No. 10 is symbiotic.

                      And it works both ways!

One couldn't help notice the press scrum surrounding Cummings breaking all the social distancing codes as he unloaded his car...

Even without the virus factor I'm not sure I'd want to get too close to him... but then I don't make my living from photographing such people.

As if he let them know it's OK! That's a novel way to change the guidelines. I hear claims contesting social distancing fines have shot up!

His Lordship is to make a public statement and take questions - time TBA.

I’m reminded of the sage words of Sgt Wilson.

There is only one statement we need now “I resign”.

I think it was in the Sky News section. A sentence saying that DC had trashed the statements of scientific advisers goes down really well!
