Marina Hyde gets it dead right.
And this scrutiny by the Parliamentary Cttee currently talking to him shows how true and frighteningly so her words are.

That was one point brought up by one of the (Labour) committee chairs. Which specific allegations were false? Asked twice, twice didn't answer because 'I think the country wants to move on'.

The bar for what is now considered to be a resigning matter has been reset pretty high. What do we think are the chances of it being decided that Priti Patel should resign over bullying allegations ?

Wishful thinking on his part, and it's difficult to know whether he is so stupid and out of touch that he thinks it true, or is hoping that if he says it often enough it will become true - a method he seems to favour despite lacking evidence that it works. Then again, I suppose if he convinces himself he thinks it has worked for everyone else.

'How he understands the indignation etc etc ...'- It's a very simple lie, and he's repeating it until it becomes true.

I can only believe that Cummings is, even as I post - telling him how well he did to repeat and repeat the Cummings'version of events. So Cummings is back, in place and pulling the strings. Appalling.

He can have not the slightest notion of just HOW enraged much of the country is OUT HERE - nay, he DARE not contemplate that rage, nor take the necessary steps to help it go away.

A dangerous fool, a blatant liar, A PUPPET DANCING TO OTHERS' STRING PULLING, - and he is 'our' Prime Minster, is he?

The was a number of false allegations but the way he kept trying to rely on that fact to obfuscate led me to wonder how many of such false allegations were seeded by Cummings and co. as a smokescreen to hide behind.

I suspect we will NEVER get what is a right result
because all the faux politeness will mitigate against

What would be good would be that every time this slug walks out of his house he is constantly harassed and made to feel unsafe

                    Good for the goose Dom

I don’t want to see him harassed as that will just give him something to complain about. There appears to be a police presence now. Which is a shame. If I lived in that street I’d be on the phone to the council ASBO helpline with a complaint. In the good old 90s of course, Benji the Binman would have been through his rubbish and retired on the proceeds. I bet he never shreds anything. He’s too lazy.

An untruth repeated enough becomes the new truth - old technique (see 1930s Germany, long history in Soviet Union) just speeded up by today's technology - DC is the current puppet master tho his backers are a certain wing of the Tory party who will dispense with both if necessary to retain power. There are very few honourable members in parliament these days - didn't I hear in tonight's 6pm news that the housing minister accepted a review of a curiously timed decision rather than release emails to him from certain parties

Jenrick - Housing Isle of Dogs - 1500 homes - Richard Desmond - Tory Donor. Eve of social element of development gain being increased - legal action by Tower Hamlets Council. Just ordinary corruption.

I have just had a response to the email I sent to the constituency MP expressing my disgust at the Cummings debacle. It wasn't a personal reply obviously as I was one of 1000 plus who have written in the past couple of days, but it showed a level of thought that I hadn't expected, and was almost entirely free of Tory guff. Suffice to say he is unequivocal in his view that Cummings should go - the Rose Garden press conference did not impress apparently. He is still a Tory career politician, but is beginning to take more risks it seems. He had a severe knockback in the aftermath of the December election and I think is perhaps not averse to a bit of contrary behaviour now. In the general scheme of things I take it as a positive.

And what brainless gimp Jenrick is - well over-exposed to day on R4 in various news things and as sycophantic as Dom C could wish. Crikey!
