Fool to Lear:
"Thou shouldst not have been old till thou hadst been wise."
KING LEAR, Act 1 Scene 5.
***
“The most encouraging thing that I see, of course, is that the electors of tomorrow are already making themselves and their voices very, very clear. And that is a source of great comfort in a way, but also the justification, the reality, that these young people are recognising that their world is the future".
David Attenborough (age 93).

"ALL" of them?
I don't think so at all
What is encouraging (see Jaynes Attenborough quote) is that many of the young people I meet have more empathy, global awareness and understanding than those desperately hanging on trying to make sure their pensions are ok.

The mischievous media have been putting the boot into Corbyn from day 1. That includes the liberal press, who will bear part of the blame if we get another tory government at the next election.I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Thinking and acting in the best interests of future genrations and the planet would seem, to me, to be more important than making a pile of money for oneself.
Yes, i've also been "paying in" but I have very little expectation of being able to have the comfortable "retirement" that many in their 70's/80's currently enjoy.Last edited by MrGongGong; 11-07-19, 08:46.

We all pay taxes and NI to support such a system.
"Kindness"(!) was never supposed to come into it - "Cruel and unusual punishment" would be a more accurate description of the Benefits System now...

HMG refer to it as the "State Pension". There are additional benefits available to supplement it.
