Thanks for the apostrophe in Halloween but it is optional!

And the look on Lorna K's face for much of her interview with BJ was a sight - she too just could not believe what she was hearing.

How could ANY group in the electorate swallow unjudged, unsifted, unrelated to known stats etc stuff from those two? It is seriously frightening that we will have a PM elected by people who cannot or will not get real about what they hear from these people. Do they not hear the industry, medicine, security sources and their deep disquiet?
      Erm … who's Lorna? (Don't tell me - it's Laura when she's looking forlorn).
It's truly gratifying to realize that I'm not alone in dreading the prospect of BJ as PM, however brief his reign may turn out to be.

I'm also dreading BJ becoming PM but also the possible prospect of JC just as much. I don't see either of these as leaders. With regard to JH I don't know too much about him.

No thinking involved - the salvation of the country isn't a factor. The priority is the survival of the Tory Party

They only have to be leaders of the Tory Party, leading the country is optional.

Both of these personalities reveal what they really think of themselves, deep down, by their body language, though BJ is better than CH at hiding it, or disguising it with bluff and bluster. What strikes me as sad is that so many today seem unable or to have lost the ability to judge character from presence. Tony Benn used to say one should never put personality over politics, but the problem with that is that, however accountable we try and make a political representative, by having all the necessary chockpoints in place, it can never prevent an unscrupulous person using his self-presumed authority taking on the spot decisions with disastrous consequences, for instance going to war.

I see BJ and JC at opposite, opposing dichotomous ends in many respects. If JC doesn't appear to be a leader it's because he's doing like a chore or out of a sense of duty rather than enjoying the power and limelight, and he's not slick, nor does he have the veneer of 'competence' of someone like Blair. JC has principles while BJ is an opportunistic liar (as well as being many other things).

So JC is not an opportunistic liar, then?

Would you like to make cardboard box buses? Or wooden ones with "dividing things"?

I thought that fit in with Johnson's real favourite pastime, lying. I imagine his team are feverishly painting boxes red to show he was telling the truth.

Did I detect a touch of nominal aphasia - searching for a phrase like “go faster stripes”? I have some sympathy - I do that sometimes too. Perhaps he meant advertisements or banners - such as “£xxx million for the NHS”.

One can understand why they tried to keep Boris in a box...or rather off the box. Ironic that the same news bulletin also mentioned the lie detector in the Jeremy Whatsit show. Is everyone called Jeremy??

                        Yours, Jeremy.

I wonder if BJ's cardboard box buses had '£350m a week for the NHS' painted on the side?

For once I agree with Max Hastings:

The Tory party is about to foist a tasteless joke upon the British people. He cares for nothing but his own fame and gratification, says the former editor of the Daily Telegraph Max Hastings

I think we need to see one of these cardboard buses, although no doubt BJ even now has a team of crack model builders working on one that he can be photographed with.

Surely he could sell the crack to mr Gove?
What a total pile of b*llsh*t and lies

Is this some kind of stress test ?
What happens when a total lying idiot takes power ?
