Whether you can and want to identify with it or not, that question emanates from at least a strand in you that is for compromise.

The plain fact is that there are more Sir and Dame Bloody Mindeds than Sirs and Dames Anything Else.

He got 340 signatures to debate in parliament a proposed change of the National Anthem to Pucci's Humming chorus.

And he has done some work for a children's charity called Variety. I'm not a fan. He likes fracking. But I do feel that the public are a bit lame in all of this, as if they are somehow being compromised or made impotent. Unless anyone meets these people, they have choices on how they see or hear them. Personally I tend to hear the word "Sir" or "Dame" when it is attached to someone who I feel deserves it. In others, I don't hear those words at all. This is natural. Not anticipated or contrived. It's normal to me. Anything else seems overreaching.

Actually he was probably trying to sing it but his limited knowledge of Cymraeg got him into trouble trying to fit the words to the tune.

I seem to recall that Redwood played a key part in the dismemberment/ destruction of the administrative county of Berkshire. Many politicians have been honoured for a lot less
I keep hitting the Escape key, but I'm still here!

Well at least that administratively separated Wokingham Borough Council (where his constituency is based), from Bracknell Forest Borough Council, 2 of the new unitary authorities within what was the province of Berkshire County Council.

Probably because he's recorded 'The Four Seasons' once too often!

                            Nothing, then, I take it.

Did you honestly think there was anything?

As Sir John R he has probably become a very effective Remain recruitment agent.
