What is the theory behind SIR John Redwood?

What, one wonders, are going on behind the scenes with this knighthood? Surely not services to music....

Whatever the theory, the practice is poor!

          The theory behind this is:

"People get honours for achievements like:

making a difference to their community or field of work
          enhancing Britain’s reputation
          long-term voluntary service
          innovation and entrepreneurship
changing things, with an emphasis on achievement
improving life for people less able to help themselves
          displaying moral courage

Honours are given to people involved in fields including:

          community, voluntary and local services
          arts and media
          health
          sport
          education
          science and technology
          business and the economy
          civil
          or political service"

          Hope this helps, arders
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Illogicality. I should have been given the award for single-handedly providing a way for getting this country out of a terrible hole. That is, if we do leave without a deal, this should be accompanied on day one by an immediate introduction of a new non political European Economic Community into which the Republic of Ireland should first be invited. This followed by Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Poland and perhaps Hungary. Solves the Northern Ireland border issue instantaneously. Solves the two main parties pulling themselves apart. Solves the never ending polarisation among the public. Solves the issue about getting the right balance on/flexibility in immigration. Solves all the moaning from Trump. Solves the criticisms that we are anti Europe and foreigner. Solves the issue about not being allowed to do independent trade deals. Solves the worries about becoming isolated and falling off a cliff edge. Solves the anxieties about not delivering on a referendum or delivering only to the 52%. Solves workers' rights concerns. Solves the lack of genuine competition inside Europe for/with the EU.

Solves everything basically and so simples - but no one wants simple when they can have a good fight.

Sir Lat-Literal, OBE, CBE, MBE, RSPB, EEC.

            Brinnit, innit bruvs!

(What I've told Treese via MP Chris is they must float it in Brussels as they have no alternative - Jean-Claude, once he has stopped spluttering, will renegotiate with immediate effect)

That figures - some would say he contributed quite considerably to the Crime of the Century.

And it's not unknown for him to have Breakfast in America.

Any political position is largely adamancy.

John Redwood was once the only person in the cabinet with a PhD.

How has he achieved more than less intelligent MPs?

By holding to his line in public while knowing he could easily argue for the very opposite from tomorrow if he so desired.

Seriously though, what exactly in the way of a positive difference to anything has Redwood ever achieved?
