I am looking forward to AI assisted journalism scanning hansard, government publications, statements by politicians and producing articles for newspapers.

I have now noticed some Amazon reviews are presented with a caveat that the reviews may have been created using AI based on a sample of reviews from other sources.

Taking this idea further, it is possible to use some AI tools such as Bard to ask seemingly sensible questions, such as:

"Write me a compative review of Product A from 2020 with Product B from 2023 - giving any tables in pounds sterling, and focusing on value for money."

Even if the results are based on multiple sources [possibly unreliable] and maybe also biased, the speed at which this is done is very interesting - and possibly helpful for some people.

Maybe try it, but don't rely on it without cross checking by other means.

I'll be interested to know if anyone gives this a go.

Surely it's vital that we recognise the infinitude of variables and imponderables as non-transcendable mysteries and use this insight as Rule No 1, determining for what we can ever know enough, for the sakes of ourselves and everything around us?

In addition of course these AI systems may very well be tracking you, and doing other things you may not like, but that's another part of the deal I guess.
