Tom Sutcliffe gave us a classic example of how to chair a discussion with 3 highly intelligent, articulate, and totally jargon-free guests.
Most impressive to me was Justin Marozzi whose book Baghdad, City of Peace, City of Blood really should be read by any Western statesman bent on firing rockets anywhere in the Middle East. Justin, having lived in Baghdad for 10 years puts the lessons of history into perspective. The other guests, with valid views about the philosophy of war (with and without religion) were so well-informed, it almost beggared belief. Very much worth a listen.
