In Search of Ourselves: A History of Psychology and the Mind

A new series of 25 15-minute programmes starting on Easter Monday on Radio 4 at 1.45 pm:

    High Anxieties
Journalist Martin Sixsmith, who retrained as a psychologist, sets out to understand what makes human beings think, feel and act in different ways. Today he traces the origins of the discipline back to ancient times and examines the Government's plan to create a national "happiness index".
2-page spread by Sixsmith in this week's RT on the subject of How to be Happy, pages 124 and 125.

    How to be Happy
i suppose the real idiocy of this Sunday colour supplement approach to life is that they never inquire in to how to make others happy, just oneself .....

nor ponder the sociology and psychology of justice and democracy, nor fighting oppressive regimes and bullying psychopaths in modern corporations ... now that would be a serious agenda for the present circumstances

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
