Morning anton, Did you hear something played by your cousin Glenn this am.? Rob C said Gould was singing along, I thought my radio wasn't tuned properly. I hope to play some CDs today, allthis kerfuffle over being thrown out ofour oldhome has taken up my time. Less than 48hours since it shut. I don't miss the old place a bit. bws

I'm happy to help out, if there is anything you think I could do that would be useful. I am recently retired and in so far as I have any time left, there is plenty of it available to do a bit of moderating/editing.

I am a life-long enthusiastic listener to classical music and to R3. I am not musically trained, alas, nor can I play. My professional background is in biological research, specialising in plant protection and biological control. Any issues concerning the entomopathogenic Deuteromycotina, Umslopogaas is your man.

Inkosikaas is keen and at thy command, oh Macumazahn!

I am Rooooosta from old board....

....two things....As I am DysX, I find it difficult enough to get around the boards as it is....and my maverick style would not be much use to you....also I have no obvious interest in any one music [other than my dislike of orchestral music]....SO....I will not participate in moderation/hosting....[ I'll make cups of tea as soon as you walk in a realworld door]....

secondly....there was some very bad spamming/ and nasty personal message writing on R3OK....so we have to remember that unprincipled uncivilised NUTTERS do turn up........BUT light touch is required very much so other wise unwittingly cabals do happen....and while R3OK is cough ahem OK it isn't great or easy to break into....I think we have the advantage of the anarchic Platform 3 being well established and that the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly should stay over there....and not pollute other thread sections....

I have the greatest faith in ff [thanks again]....as to your good broadminded intentions....(I'm looking over my shoulder in case Reiner is around....No it's ok coast is clear lol)

                  Much love tim

Well, as the old quip goes: "You can call me what you like as long as you call me in time for tea."

We can have any set of 'ranks' if we want (deacon(ess), curate, vicar/rector, rural, canon, dean, bishop??). Personally, I'd rather see us all displayed as 'members'. (I can make my other functions 'additional' rather than 'primary'. Perhaps I will ... )

Just a mo, I'm checking whether we already have that area covered ... no, you're in! Thanks

Rooooosta!!! Why have you changed your name? (Oh, well, there are reasons for everything ). I knew we'd 'met' but I was toying with the idea that you might be ... [Oh, and yes ... ]

Progress report - we are so far a bit short of 20 volunteers. That's more than enough to get things started, but the list will remain open for a few days more for any other offers. (Thanks, saly, and all other well wishers.)

Thanks for setting this up French Frank. Unfortunately I won’t be able to help with the running with this as I only have works internet.
                        Best wishes!

According to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.
