Birthday in about 3 weeks. Everyone annoyed with me because I cannot think of a suitable present. I CAN ! £10, OOO for a beautiful bass viol would be very acceptable - alas, they think I 'm joking. I' ll just have to continue life with my Chinese 'cello. ( & bore them all with the 1st. & 3rd. Bach suites ).

No longer waiting since they arrived today:
Sibelius Symphonies, etc - Ashkenazy
Sibelius Symphonies - Abravanel
The Henry Brant Edition Vols. 1 & 9 (Vols. 2-6 & 8 are on their way from across The Pond), Vol. 7 I already had.
Joanna MacGregor - "Play"
BBC Music Magazine (CPE Bach is Composer of the Month)
Strange that Ashkenazy seems not to have recorded Pohjola's Daughter.
