Side stalls seats for each of the Ring Proms comes to £54 so taking into account train fares and hotel room rates it looks a pricey proposition. Top price seats are £68.

The actual programme 12 July - 7 September

Thought it best to start a thread for readers of the actual guide (as opposed to crystal ball gazers, entrail readers etc.... )
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Come and join us in the Arena ! It's the best place in the hall to see and hear, and very sociable as well.

I wonder whether the Thropplenoggin's inner snob could ever stoop to conquer thus...

In any case, I will be attending my first Wagner - Tristan und Isolde. Tempted by Parsifal, too. Mahler 2, if I can snag a ticket. And Lugansky in Rach 3. Not much else tickles my proverbial.

post structuralist, I suggest, with that level of discontinuity......

There are, such as Eine Alpensinfonie, but the accompanying works are of no interest. Several like that.
